As a media consultant, my current focus is on the intersection of AI and nonfiction storytelling via text, audio, and video. I experiment with emerging tools constantly, creating myself while being vocal about issues that arise and proactively solving for them. If AI companies are serious about wanting to partner with creative and editorial industries as the tech evolves, then I am that person at the forefront, in the mud, working through the issues - and having fun doing it. I'm very optimistic and excited about these tools, with the right evolving guardrails, and believe we’re just getting started.

My history:

While at Vox Media, I executive produced The Verge’s first Netflix show, The Future Of,  which received a national Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Educational and Informational Program and a Real Screen Awards nomination for non-fiction, science and technology. My team also won two New York Emmys during my tenure, along with multiple Webby wins for our series: Full Frame with Becca Farsace; Verge Science; our business and technology podcasts, Decoder with Nilay Patel and The Vergecast; and for our investigative work on the lives of Facebook and Google content moderators with Casey Newton. The Verge is one of the leading technology publications in the world, known for its voice, rigor, and creativity. While there, I was a senior member of our leadership team and our work routinely gained national recognition (cited by Congress, an ASME win, and a Pulitzer nomination) and garnered millions of views and listens.

At CNN, I was recruited to be the showrunner for Beme News, a news-start up with massive YouTube talent, Casey Neistat. Beme was an innovative experiment that brought together traditional journalists, creators, and engineers to create a new news product that leveraged all the resources of CNN. While our business was shuttered during AT&T’s ill-fated merger with TimeWarner, we were able to fuse creator storytelling with strong on the ground reporting, covering hurricanes Irma and Harvey, Mexico City’s 7.1 magnitude earthquake, and the 2017 Las Vegas concert shooting. As showrunner, I was responsible for the creative direction and production while managing network and talent demands.

Prior to CNN, I was the executive producer of all daily programming at Discovery Digital Networks and Group Nine Media’s science brand, Seeker. There, I led content creation, strategy, and execution on all video properties to garner over 200M monthly views. Shows included Seeker Daily, Discovery News, DNews on the Science Channel & Animal Planet, and social content across Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. After Vox Media’s acquisition of Group Nine Media in 2022, I led the pitch, onboarding, management, and programming strategy for the Seeker brand’s absorption into Verge Science, further building out our video talent and social strategy at The Verge.

I began my early producing days working for the non-profit LinkTV and internet TV company Revision3 (later acquired by Discovery Communications).
